The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin and is expected to provide secretarial support to the Faculty Dean. Duties include (a) handling daily correspondence, documents and enquiries; (b) drafting and editing letters, speeches, etc.; (c) supervising clerical staff; (d) liaising with internal and external stakeholders; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website : https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo ; (iii) at least 5 years' post-qualification executive or secretarial experience, preferably in a university setting; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) a high level of computer literacy; (vi) a self-motivated, meticulous and resilient work attitude; (vii) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and (viii) strong organisational, problem-solving and multitasking skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Applicants must submit copies of certificates (e.g. HKCEE, HKALE, HKDSE, IELTS, TOEFL) showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
