The Centre for China Studies (CCS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a department-level unit that commits to the highest international quality of interdisciplinary teaching and research on modern and contemporary China. The Centre offers English-taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (including MA, MPhil and PhD). Its multidisciplinary faculty and courses bring together students from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Asia and the rest of the world to learn through critical inquiry and interactive discussion in and outside classes.

The Centre is inviting applications for a Project Co-ordinator II to support the Centre's programme administration and development. The appointee will (a) provide assistance in postgraduate admission, programme administration and grant applications; (b) provide assistance in the co-ordination and execution of the Centre's academic events; (c) provide administrative assistance to faculty's research projects, including reimbursement; (d) provide assistance in programmes' promotional publications and development initiatives; (e) liaise with the University's internal academic and administrative units; and (f) perform other tasks as assigned. Overtime work may be required.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree; (ii) excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iii) solid experience in administration or programme management; (iv) strong organisational skills and attentiveness to details; (v) strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills; (vi) a self-motivated work attitude and the ability to work as a good team member; and (vii) a strong command of computer literacy and digital communication. Skills in graphic design will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1- or 2-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
