Occupational Therapist I (Tam Wing Fan Rehabilitation Service Centre)

The appointee will be required to (a) develop occupational therapy (OT) services at the Centre; (b) provide OT services to clients and patients; (c) provide clinical education to OT students at the Centre; (d) assist in promotion of OT services to the general public, institutions, mass media and referral agents; (e) conduct health-related talks and seminars; (f) provide OT training locally and outside Hong Kong; (g) supervise Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants; and (h) assist in selected research activities. The appointee may be required to work on shift, and on Saturdays and Sundays.
Applicants should (a) have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and a master's degree in Occupational Therapy / Rehabilitation Sciences / Health Studies or related disciplines; (b) be registered as Part I with the Hong Kong Occupational Therapists Board and have a valid practising certificate; (c) have at least five years of relevant post-qualification working experience in the field of physical rehabilitation with medical-neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation inclusive; (d) have good interpersonal and communication skills; and (e) be independent and able to work with other disciplines. Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Occupational Therapist II. Preference will be given to those with working experience in an out-patient or private clinic and with a higher educational / professional qualification.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service :
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
