Project Manager - Catering Service (Contract)

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh's Award was established in 1961 as a local registered non-profit organization. AYP is committed to providing a non-formal education platform for young people to explore their full potential and take positive steps towards finding their purpose, passion and place in the community.

AYP is going to start a new catering service with the social values in our Jockey Club Duke of Edinburgh Training Camp in Tai Po. Our new catering service aims to be a sustainable business and offer supports to the needy persons in Hong Kong. We are now looking for a passionate candidate to fill up the post of Project Manager - Youth Development, Catering Service.


Job recruitment for the position of Project Manager - Catering Service (Contract) (Ref : PM(YD-CS)/21/1).

Duties :

  • To conclude the launch of a new catering service
  • To oversee the catering service's fiscal, administrative and operation works
  • Day to day management of restaurant and food delivery service
  • To supervise and provide trainings to the chefs and frontline staff
  • To comply with health and safety regulations
  • To provide catering service to the public with the social values
  • To establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies and procedures
  • To uphold and develop our catering service's brand

Requirements :
  • The successful candidate will have experience of managing a catering business and leading a team
  • Higher diploma or above in Hospitality, Food Science or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of food safety management
  • Proven food and beverage management experience
  • Knowledge of support services in key areas such as SEN, mental disabilities and physical disabilities
  • Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of stock control systems, cost calculation, POS system and cooking skill
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded
  • Experience of the charity sector are preferred
  • 48 hours per week
  • Shift duty required, candidates may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays
