Occupational Therapist I (Rehabilitation Clinic)

Department of Rehabilitation Sciences
The appointee will be required to (a) develop occupational therapy services at the Rehabilitation Clinic; (b) provide occupational therapy services to patients in private hospitals / medical institutions / non-governmental organizations (NGOs) / client's home, etc.; (c) provide clinical education to occupational therapy students; (d) promote occupational therapy services to the general public, institutions, mass media and referral agents independently and in conjunction with the clinic promotion team; (e) conduct health-related talks and seminars; (f) provide occupational therapy training; (g) supervise Occupational Therapists II and Occupational Therapy Assistants; and (h) support selected research activities.
Applicants should (a) have a bachelor's degree or professional diploma in Occupational Therapy / Rehabilitation Sciences / Health Studies or equivalent and a master's degree in related disciplines; (b) be registered with the Hong Kong Occupational Therapists Board and have a valid practising certificate; (c) have at least five years of relevant post-qualification working experience in the field of physical rehabilitation with medical-neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation inclusive; (d) be independent and able to work with other disciplines; and (e) have good interpersonal and communication skills. Preference will be given to those with working experience in an out-patient or private clinic and possess a higher academic / professional qualification.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service :
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointments will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
