The Hong Kong Council of Social Service

Officer (Elderly Service) (Two- year renewable contract)


Ref No : HKCSS/021/2020

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for engaging stakeholders to work on elderly service and related policy development.
  • Enabling the Council to work on welfare agenda in response to social needs and advocate for improvement of concerned services and policies.
  • Promote pioneering and innovative service response with the sector to fill service gaps, and formulate directions for user groups empowerment.
  • Foster exchanges with international and regional counterparts for development of practice advancement and local agenda.
  • Enhance multi-disciplinary collaboration in facing ageing population.

Requirements :
  • Registered Social Worker preferred.
  • A recognized degree in social work or social science, with 3-years' post qualification experience. Experience in elderly residential service will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of policies and services for elderly, particular in residential services.
  • Passion in striving for a better community for active ageing.
  • Strong ability in building network with the social service sector and other stakeholders, including government departments and academics.
  • Strong personal drive, take ownership in work and a good team player.
  • Good analytic skills, innovative mindset and flexible.
  • Able to work under pressure, independently and multi-tasking.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese.
  • Competent in MS Office applications.

5-day work per week. 15-day annual leave.
