The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is one of the recognized schools of public health in the Asia Pacific region with extensive research links to China, Europe and North America. The School is now seeking talented academics with demonstrated expertise in the area of infectious disease epidemiology to apply for the post of Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (Non-clinical).
Applicants must demonstrate experience in state-of-the-art mathematical modelling. Applicants should also have (i) a PhD degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, infectious diseases or a related discipline; (ii) at least two years' working experience in public health and/or infectious diseases research; (iii) strong commitment to both teaching and research in public health and/or infectious diseases; (iv) a good track record of research and demonstrated research capacity and potential; (v) good teammanship and teaching skills; and (vi) proficiency in English required as CUHK is an English-medium university.
The appointee is expected to play a key role in the development of the School's thematic research programme in infectious diseases and teaching programmes of the School.
Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing as soon as possible, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
