Clerk I/II in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Clerk I/II in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 494390) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have at least 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A / Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics. They should have at least 5 years' relevant work experience. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is essential. Fluency in Putonghua would be an asset. They should also have good computer knowledge (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing), good interpersonal skills, the ability to attend to details; and be self-motivated, able to perform multi-tasks concurrently and work independently. Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary education or in handling research postgraduate student matters. The appointee will provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Department. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk II. The appointee with a Bachelor's degree or above will be offered the functional title of Executive Assistant.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
