Manager (Education)

Descriptions

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Head of Special Education and Rehabilitation Service (SERS) to work in the Special Education and Rehabilitation Service Governing Committee and its sub-committees
  • Be an SSB School Manager in the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) of the schools in his/her team
  • Be a member of the IMC Sub-committees and ad hoc panels according to the division of responsibilities between members of the IMC
  • Advise and extend support to middle management staff of the schools
  • Update proactively on new development of EDB and government policies. Advise the Head of SERS regarding the implications
  • Maintain continuous communication with the schools, answer enquiries, clarify information, disseminate messages of the SSB and monitor response from the schools

Requirements :
  • A good University degree in relevant discipline
  • 5 years' relevant experience in management level with at least 3 years at supervisory level
  • Working experience in education setting preferable
  • Familiar with government policies and regulations especially Education Ordinance, Education Regulations, Code of Aid, School Administration Guide, numerous EDB circulars and procedures
  • Well versed in office management/project management and knowledge in financial management
  • Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Sound interpersonal skill, coordination skill and ability to communicate with people at different levels including senior management
  • Well-organized, highly independent and able to work under pressure

Contract Period : 1 year (renewable)
