Full-time / Part-time Speech Therapist

The appointee will be based at the Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies of the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages or other working sites as arranged by the Centre, and be responsible for (a) providing speech therapy for preschool and school-aged children with hearing impairment or other language impairment; (b) providing training and professional advice for parents and teachers regarding children's speech and language development; and (c) assisting in conducting research and developing language training resources for children, parents and professionals. Training in Hong Kong Sign Language will be provided.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, a Master's degree in Speech Therapy or a Master's degree in Educational Speech-Language Pathology and Learning Disabilities, or equivalent; (ii) Grade E / Level 2 or above in Chinese and English (Syllabus B) in HKCEE / HKDSE; (iii) proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); and (iv) good interpersonal skills. Relevant work experience is preferred.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
