Senior Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Assistant Fire Safety Manager) (Ref : 201801715) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a recognized degree or diploma in Building Services Engineering or a related field, with 10 years' relevant experience. They should be registered with Fire Services Department (FSD) as Fire Services Installation Contractor (Class 3). They should have good customer service, leadership, communication and time management skills; good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; and be able to work independently and under pressure. The appointee will liaise with contractor to operate and maintain Fire Service Installations (FSIs) to a condition that conform to the FSD's requirement; supervise a team of subordinates and appraise their performances; provide professional technical advices to the Fire Safety Manager, customers and contractors; vet FSIs plans and inspect buildings. He/She will also provide timely quality services to customer, especially respond promptly to emergency; prepare tender / quotation documents; carry out routine fire safety inspection; supervise the works carry out by the fire services installation contractors; conduct fire talks; and in-charge of annual fire drills. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Safety.
