Social Worker (Project Based)

Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (SCHSA) is one of the most established social enterprises in Hong Kong with a self-funded operating model and charity status. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of the elderly by facilitating home-based living. We leverage technology to offer people-centric services through innovation. We provide 24/7 support through our Call and Care Service (平安鐘服務), a call-based emergency assistance and personal care service designed for the elderly community in Hong Kong.

Descriptions

Responsibilities :

  • Identify special cases with nurse team and work with NGO partners to support Community eHealth Care Project
  • Coordinate & implement Community eHealth Care Project including Hidden Elders Program
  • Support casework & assessment services for service users and charity cases
  • Assist ad-hoc assignment as required

Qualification :
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience, preferably in elderly service or community service setting
  • Registered Social Worker, diploma or above in Social Work or related disciplines
  • Experience in geriatrics, mental illness rehabilitation, case management & counseling service is definitely an advantage

Requirements :
  • Service-oriented and caring attitude are primary needed
  • Knowledgeable of social work practice and the services available in the community
  • Understanding of crisis management and the ability to deal with life threatening situations including the prevention of suicide
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving & decision making skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a variety of settings
  • Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
