    This programme is designed to provide specialized study in exercise science. Graduates from this programme will possess in-depth understanding in major areas of exercise science, allowing them to either specializes in and increase their knowledge of exercise science or further studies in Higher Degree Programmes.

    The Programme is suitable for professionals in the sports, education, health and social service arenas, including sports scientists and medical practitioners, school teachers, nurses, allied health professionals, health administrators, social workers, coaches, athletes, team managers and others interested in pursuing a career in sports and exercise science.

    Students can study physical activity and exercise from a number of sub-disciplinary approaches originating in biomechanical, psychological, sociological, pedagogy or physiology. Students are encouraged to engage in a critical approach to understanding the relationship of physical activity in terms of its contribution to the related fields of sports medicine, health and exercise.

    Both strands provide students with an opportunity to engage in sports and exercise science research.
