    Initiating from the complexity of contemporary housing issues derived from urbanization and social, economical and environmental interactions, the Master of Social Science Programme in Housing Studies (MSSc. HSS) was launched by Center for Housing Innovations (CHI), Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies (HKIAPS).

    The objectives of MSSc. HSS are to promote cutting-edge housing research outcomes to the young generations and the integrity of cultural and technique aspects so as to grow up comprehensive talents to support the sustainable housing development in next stage.

    With the support of solid foundation of housing research and industry training experience of CHI from the past two decades, the programme covers three characteristics regarding housing: environmental simulation and green building; housing planning and urban design; and construction management and ecobalance, aiming to further promote excellent academic achievements and vernacular culture to students and related professionals.

    Students will be confronted with housing issues in mainland China, Hong Kong and abroad for the purpose of creating effective, affordable and sustainable living environment. Given systematic education, students will be equipped with required expertise for career in relevant fields and meet the demand of such talents in future.
